Police lab results confirm body is Nevaeh

The Michigan State Police Crime Laboratory in Northville has informed the Nevaeh Buchanan Task Force that the body found Thursday near the River Raisin in Raisinville Township is that of 5-year-old Nevaeh.
DNA testing has confirmed the identity of the body as Nevaeh, according to a statement released this afternoon by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office on behalf of the task force.
Nevaeh was last seen near her home in Monroe on May 24.
Anyone with information about this investigation is asked to call the task force tip line at 243-7070.
