PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP: Amber Alert issued for teen

Police are looking for a 15-year-old Plymouth Township boy whose family last saw him at his home on Sunday night.

Justin Lee Wainwright, who is believed to be traveling with Joshua Kyle Zohr, 18, of Northville, was reportedly seen at about 5:45 a.m. Monday at a rest area near Dayton, Ohio. Justin is described as white, 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 140 pounds with brown eyes and hair.

Zohr is white, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs 125 pounds and drives a red Pontiac Grand Prix with license plate BYP1180.

Amber Alert Issued For Plymouth Teen

POSTED: Monday, March 16, 2009
UPDATED: 5:59 pm EDT March 17, 2009

PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- Michigan State Police issued an Amber Alert for a teenager from Plymouth Township.

Justin Lee Wainwright is described as a 15-year-old white male. He is 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs 140 pounds and has brown eyes.

He was last seen at 3:45 a.m. on Monday, at a rest area in Dayton, Ohio.

Wainwright was allegedly abducted by 18-year-old Joshua Kyle Zohr of Northville. Zohr was seen driving a red Pontiac Grand Prix with Michigan license plate BYP1180.

The FBI has joined in the search for the two.

Their parents said Wainwright and Zohr have been friends for years after meeting at Paradise Park in Novi, which is owned by the Wainwright family.

While police have said the younger Wainwright might be in extreme danger, Zohr's parents do not believe Wainright was taken by force.

The families have set up a Web site to aid in the search for the two, visit it at www.FindJoshAndJustin.com.

Wainwright's parents said their son left a note saying he and Zohr both needed a break and the families should not worry about them. The note also indicated the teens would not be making contact using cell phones. The note did not give any indication where the two might be headed.

If you have any information, call 911 or the Plymouth Township Police Department at 734-354-3232.
